Sticks & Stones 15K

Sticks & Stones 15K is a fall point to point trail race at Babcock State Park in West Virginia held on October 10, 2026. The course begins at Historic Camp Washington-Carver and leads into the park along the rim of Mann's Creek Gorge before dropping into the canyon. The route adds 2.2 miles of trail to the Big Loop used by the Grinder and removes about one mile of road, leaving roughly nine miles of trail alongside the overall 15K distance. The course includes one short road section near the historic Gristmill and the final turn toward Skyline and the finish overlook.

Terrain includes steep climbs and long, gradual downhill sections with extended fast trail stretches. Scenic features on the route include fall foliage, rhododendron tunnels, waterfalls, cliffs, bridges and overlooks of Glade Creek canyon. Aid stations are located at mile 2.5 and at mile 7 near the Gristmill and provide water and electrolyte drink in cups. Event services include chip timing, a shuttle transporting participants between the finish and the start (about a 15 minute ride), custom long sleeve tech shirts, fruit and beverages at the finish, and award cups for age group winners. Packet pickup is scheduled in Fayetteville the evening before and at the Mann's Creek Picnic Area on race morning. The field is limited to 150 runners.
