B & O Half Marathon and 10k
The B & O Half Marathon and 10k takes place in the Pacific Northwest, featuring courses set against the backdrop of Mount Rainier. The event utilizes the Foothills Trail, a smooth, paved path that runs along the Carbon River through lush greenery and small-town environments.
Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- 13.1 Miles
- 10k
The 13.1 Miles race is a point-to-point course. Runners begin in Buckley and head toward Orting, following a route that includes a gentle 700-foot descent. This downhill profile on the Foothills Trail connects different local communities.
The 10k race starts and finishes in Orting. This distance follows an out-and-back format along the same trail used for the longer race. The course is designed to be fast and is situated in a scenic valley environment.
All finishers at the event receive a technical shirt and a custom medal. After crossing the finish line, participants have access to post-race snacks and frozen treats. The event is held during the summer, providing an opportunity for runners to experience the regional sunshine on a set trail course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
