B & O Half Marathon and 10k
The B & O Half Marathon and 10k takes place on July 19, 2026, in Orting, Washington, with the half marathon running between Buckley and Orting along the Foothills Trail. The event uses paved rails to trails surfaces through the foothills of Mount Rainier, with river views, shaded sections, and small-town surroundings.

The half marathon follows a gradual net descent of about 700 feet on a smooth, paved trail intended to allow steady pacing. Professional pacers are available for the half marathon to help maintain consistent splits on the downhill profile. The 10K uses the same paved trail for a shorter out and back route with minimal elevation change.
The event is USATF sanctioned. Participants receive a technical race shirt, a custom medal, and post race snacks; frozen treats are provided at the finish. Course features include no traffic and no stoplights on the trail, and views of Mount Rainier and the Carbon River along shaded and open stretches.
