Event Overview
The AZ Sunrise Series - Arizona Boardwalk is the sixth event in the 13th Annual Arizona Sunrise Series. It takes place on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Arizona Boardwalk in Scottsdale. The event features a single 5K distance run and is limited to 700 participants.
Registration and Fees
Registration is available for an in-person 5K run and a virtual run option. Prices for the 5K increase over time, starting at $35 plus a processing fee. Race day registration is available for $50. Virtual run registration is restricted to US addresses and includes shipping for the medal and shirt after the event.
Series Information
This event is part of a seven-race summer series. Participants can register for individual events or the entire series. Completing events earns points towards a series prize drawing. The top 100 point earners and all participants who complete at least four of the seven series events are entered.
What Participants Receive
All registrants receive a custom series medal. They also choose one custom event swag item from options like a set of arm sleeves, a tank top, or a short sleeve shirt. The event includes extra water stations on the course, a pre- and post-race "Runner's Brunch," and chip timing with real-time results and photos. Age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in multiple categories.
Race Day Details
The event is leashed-pet friendly and welcomes walkers, wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons. No roller blades, skateboards, or motorized devices are allowed. Participants have two starting options: an open start line from 5:30 AM to 6:15 AM, or a traditional mass start at 6:30 AM.
