Event details
Stunner Night Runs is a night trail running event at Usery Mountain Regional Park in Mesa, AZ. The event offers four distances:
- 50K
- 25K
- 12K
- 6K
The race is part of the Insomniac Night Trail Run Series. Registration closes on July 6, and entry fees vary by distance and registration date. Runners receive chip timing, a branded race goody (while supplies last), finish-line photos, and finisher awards.
Course and on-course support
The courses use Chain Fruit, Lost Sheep, Channel, and Blevins Trails and are described as flat and fast. Aid is provided at a fully stocked start/finish aid station and at a remote Levee Aid station that runners pass on each loop. Aid station supplies include water, ice, electrolyte drinks, salty and sweet snacks, fruit, sandwiches, and hot food. This is a CUPLESS event; runners must bring a reusable cup or purchase one on site. Course markings include orange ribbons with reflective medallions, laminated signs at junctions, and flagging for wrong-way trails. Live split tracking will be available.
Logistics and race rules
Crews are allowed at the start/finish; pacers are permitted only for the 50K and only beginning on the final loop. Drop bags are available at the start/finish area. Parking at Usery is limited; some spaces are reserved for 50K and 25K runners and a shuttle will run from a group campground. The park charges a vehicle entry fee. Expect hot conditions at the start, with cooler temperatures overnight. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
