Ayrshire Coast Sunset Ultra : event overview
The event takes place 05–06 June 2026 on the Ayrshire coast, starting and finishing at Irvine Beach. The main distance is 50 km (25 km out and back). The route uses beaches, promenades and trails and will be clearly marked; a GPX file will be provided in the race pack. Aid stations are located at 12 km, 25 km and 37 km, with water, sweets, cake and crisps available. A drop-bag option is available for collection at 25 km.
Practical information
Registration is held at Irvine Beach car park and race numbers and stickers will be issued. Gender-neutral toilet facilities will be available. Road crossings will be marshalled and participants are asked to remove earphones and follow marshal instructions. Family meeting points are possible along the route; supporters should park responsibly and keep noise low in residential areas. Every finisher receives a medal, goody bag and a Polaroid photo with their medal; prizes will be awarded in the usual categories. Tea, coffee and post-race food will be available for charitable donation. Financial assistance for lower incomes is offered through the event organiser, Run Llama.
