Ayrshire Coast Sunset Ultra
The Ayrshire Coast Sunset Ultra is a night time ultramarathon held across the Ayrshire coast on 04 June 2027 to 05 June 2027. The route uses beaches, promenades and coastal trails and is intended to run from sunset into sunrise. Organisers note aid stations may be visible from a distance.
The event distance:
- 50 km (25 km out and back) starting and finishing at Irvine Beach
Aid and logistics are specified: aid stations at 12 km, 25 km and 37 km will offer water, sweets, cake and crisps. A drop bag option is available for collection at 25 km. The course will be clearly marked and a GPX file will be sent in the race pack for those who wish to use navigation on a watch. Road crossings are marshalled and participants are asked to remove earphones and follow instructions.
Registration takes place at Irvine Beach car park where numbers and optional drop bag stickers are issued. Gender neutral toilets will be available. Tea and coffee will be offered for charitable donation. A race briefing will be held on the start line before the race.
Post-race items include a unique finisher medal, a goody bag, category prizes and a Polaroid photo with the medal. Full race packs will be emailed with required kit, maps and parking advice.
