Ayrshire Coast Sunset Ultra

The Ayrshire Coast Sunset Ultra is a 50 km out and back ultramarathon starting and finishing at Irvine Beach. The route runs along beaches, promenades and trails and is scheduled to take place from sunset into sunrise. Aid stations are located at 12 km, 25 km and 37 km and will offer water, sweets, cake and crisps. A drop bag option is available for collection at 25 km; numbers and stickers for optional drop bags are issued at registration at Irvine Beach car park.

Gender neutral toilet facilities will be available. Tea and coffee will be offered for charitable donation. The course will be clearly marked and a GPX file will be provided in the race pack for those who wish to use navigation on their watches. Road crossings will be marshalled and participants are asked to remove earphones and follow marshal instructions.

Family and supporters may meet runners at various points along the route; organisers request responsible parking and minimal noise in residential areas. Finishers receive a unique medal, a goody bag and a Polaroid photo with their medal. Prizes will be awarded in standard categories. Full race packs will be emailed with required kit lists, course maps and advised parking locations. Financial support is available for those on lower incomes.
