Event overview
The Ayrshire Coast Sunset Ultra is scheduled for 05 Jun 2026 - 06 Jun 2026 and starts and finishes at Irvine Beach. The event is a 50 km ultramarathon run as a 25 km out-and-back route along the coast. Total places are listed as 200 and the event status is open.
Course and support
The route uses beaches, promenades and trails and will follow the beach where possible. The course is waymarked and a GPX file will be included in the race pack for runners who wish to use a watch for navigation. All road crossings will be marshalled; runners are asked to remove earphones and follow marshal instructions.
Aid stations are located at 12 km, 25 km and 37 km. These stations will supply water, sweets, cake and crisps. A drop bag option is available for collection at the 25 km point; stickers for optional drop bags are issued at registration.
Race services and entries
Registration details are managed at the event location and numbers are issued on arrival. Gender neutral toilet facilities will be available. Tea and coffee will be offered for charitable donation at the event. Every finisher receives a medal, a goody bag and a polaroid photo with their medal; prizes are awarded in the usual categories. Full race packs with required kit lists, course maps and parking advice will be emailed to entrants. The listed entry fee is £52 until 01 Jun 2026.
