About the race
"Av Seen Thee A'fore at Slawit" is a trail running event hosted by It's Grim Up North Running, set in the picturesque town of Slaithwaite in West Yorkshire moorland. The race course follows the historic Huddersfield Narrow Gauge canal towpath, leading out to Huddersfield and back to the tunnel end visitor’s centre, featuring a steady elevation with good trail terrain. Distances offered include 5K, 10K, half marathon, 20 miles, and a full marathon.
The course is well marshalled and signed, with feed stations every three miles providing drinks and food. Participants receive bespoke medals and treats, and the event encourages eco-friendly practices like bringing reusable cups.
