Autumn & Ales 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon
The Autumn & Ales race is an annual event held in Scarborough, Maine. The 2026 edition marks the seventh year of the competition, which takes place on September 12th. The event functions primarily as a fundraiser, with proceeds and sponsorships directed toward local nonprofits, specifically the organization Maine Needs.
Participants can choose from three different race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
The course follows a path that runs along the local marsh area. All three distances conclude at a celebration featuring ales for participants. For the first time, this edition allows for team registrations, enabling groups of family, friends, or colleagues to register together. Additionally, runners have the option to set up individual fundraising pages to invite outside donations for the supported cause.
Registration includes certain amenities based on timing and availability. The first 100 runners to register receive a t-shirt. Other participants have the opportunity to purchase event merchandise through an online store. All purchased items and registration materials are available for collection during packet pick-up or at the registration table located at 55-73 Manson Libby Road on the morning of the event.
