2027 Austin Sunshine Run
The 2027 Austin Sunshine Run is a downtown Austin running event at Vic Mathias Shores at Lady Bird Lake Metro Park, 900 W Riverside Dr, Austin, TX. It uses certified 5K and 10K courses along W Cesar Chavez St. parallel to Lady Bird Lake. The event is scheduled for May 2, 2027.

Participants who plan to run with a dog are asked to register specifically for the Fastest Dog in Austin 5K; this helps organizers plan for pet-related sponsors and budget for special perks for dog runners. Virtual options allow supporters to complete a 5K or 10K remotely.
Entry fees listed for the event are $50.00 for the 10K, $40.00 for the 5K, $45.00 for the Fastest Dog in Austin 5K, $10.00 for the Kids K, and $40.00 for each virtual distance. The 5K and 10K courses are certified and the 10K and 5K are timed events.
All proceeds and funds raised from the Sunshine Run benefit historically underinvested youth of Central Texas through the Austin Sunshine Camps.
