Austin Marathon
The Austin Marathon weekend is scheduled for February 14, 2027, in downtown Austin, Texas. The event program includes multiple race distances:
- 26.2 miles Marathon
- 13.1 miles Half Marathon
- 5 km 5K Run
The course runs through central Austin neighborhoods and past city landmarks, including the Texas State Capitol, South Congress, and Zilker Park, and finishes in front of the Texas State Capitol on historic Congress Ave. Live music plays along the route and there is a downtown concert as part of the event weekend.
Race day features a finish line festival with food, drinks, finisher medals, dancing, and a beer garden for participants and spectators aged 21 and over. Course support includes aid stations placed every few miles and thousands of spectators along the route. The event reports a field size around 30,000 runners and the race organization lists more than 3,000 volunteers and roughly 75,000 spectators.
Additional event services include an expo and packet pick up, athlete tracking and official race photos, a mobile app, live FloTrack coverage, and an elite athlete field. The event also runs charity programs under Austin Marathon Gives, offers team registration with perks such as customized bibs, and a 2027 military appreciation program that provides eligible active-duty and retired military a 50% registration discount.
