Event Information
The Austin CapTex Triathlon takes place on May 25, 2026 in Austin, Texas. The event is held on Memorial Day Weekend.
Distances and Format
The event offers three different race distances:
- SuperSprint: 400m swim, 10km bike, 2.5km run.
- Sprint: 750m swim, 19.8km bike, 5km run.
- Olympic: 1500m swim, 39km bike, 10km run.
Races are available for individual participants and relay teams. The minimum age for participants is 14.
The Course
The triathlon course goes through central Austin. The swim takes place in Lady Bird Lake. The bike ride goes through the city with views of the Texas State Capitol. The run goes through Butler Park. The finish line is at Auditorium Shores.
Awards and Divisions
Awards are given in several divisions. These include age groups for men and women, a non-binary category, and paratriathlon awards for the sprint distance.
Participant Perks
