About the race
The Auchterarder 10K Chilli Trail Race takes place in Auchterarder on 30 October 2027. The event is organised by Five Star Events and uses a waymarked trail route that leaves the town and goes into the foothills of the Ochil Hills. The course covers a variety of surfaces including forest trails, steady uphills, downhills and a couple of stream crossings. The route is noted for its distinctive chilli pepper shape on the GPS map.
There is a two hour cut off for the event. Entry is online only and entries close on 16 October 2027 or when the race limit is reached; a waiting list is used once the field is full. No refunds are issued once entries have been processed; organisers allow a no cost substitution request or resale to someone on the waiting list if handled before 16 October 2027. The entry fee listed until 16 October 2027 is £26.00 plus a service fee. Runners must be aged 16 or above on race day.
Headphones are not allowed on the course except bone conduction devices. Registration and bib collection take place at The Sports Hub, The Community School of Auchterarder, with ID checks required and unsecured baggage storage provided. A safety briefing will be emailed to entrants before the race.
All runners receive a snood and a bespoke Chilli Trail Race 2027 medal. Prizes are awarded across gender, age categories and local qualifiers and for best costume. On-street parking is available around the start area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
