ATW Welwyn Half Marathon & 10k

The event is held at Gosling Sports Park in Welwyn Garden City and includes a half marathon and a 10 km race that both start and finish on the venue's 400 m athletics track. The half marathon route passes through the leafy outskirts of Welwyn and uses the Cole Green Way, a former railway line converted into a traffic free path, with a short loop before returning along the Cole Green Way and finishing with a lap of the track.

The 10 km is a multi terrain course that shares the opening 5 km with the half marathon, then follows its own loop back to the stadium. The event takes place in autumn and is licensed by UK Athletics. Timing is managed professionally by Event Chip Timing.

A free 400 m fun run for children is held shortly before the main races; no advance booking is required and parents may join their children. The day includes warm up sessions led by personal trainers, a professional commentator at the finish, food and drink from caterers, and marshals and signage on course. Every finisher receives a custom medal, free professional race photos, and a selection of snacks and goodies.
