Event overview
The ATW Welwyn Half Marathon & 10k takes place on 4 October 2026 at Gosling Sports Park, Stanborough Road, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. The event is organised by Active Training World and is licensed by UK Athletics. The event is chip-timed by Event Chip Timing and has a three-hour cut-off after which marshals and signage will no longer be available.

The 10k is open to entrants aged 16 and over on the event date. The half marathon is open to entrants aged 17 and over on the event date. Entry prices are listed at approximately £27–£29 for the 10k and £35–£37 for the half marathon.
Course, services and logistics
Both races start and finish on the 400 m athletics track at Gosling Sports Park. The half marathon runs out of the stadium through the outskirts of Welwyn and along the Cole Green Way, a traffic-free, former railway path, before returning to finish on the track. The 10k shares the same opening 5 km, then follows its own loop back to the stadium; the 10k is described as multi-terrain.
A free 400 m fun run for children is held on the track shortly before the main races; children may register on the day and parents may join. The event provides a warm-up led by personal trainers, a finish-line commentator, catering for spectators, free professional race photos, a custom finisher medal, and finish-line snacks. Limited paid parking is available at the venue, with additional parking in Welwyn town centre. Transfers to a future ATW event are allowed up to 48 hours before the event; refunds and transfers to another person are not offered. The event lists Alzheimer’s Research UK as a charity partner.
