About the race
The ATW Welwyn event offers a half marathon and a multi-terrain 10k at Gosling Sports Park in Welwyn Garden City, held on 03/10/2027. Both the half marathon and 10k start and finish on the park's 400m athletics track.
- Half Marathon starts and finishes on the 400m athletics track.
- 10k multi-terrain course shares the opening 5km then follows its own loop.
- 400m Fun Run free children’s run on the track, register on the day.
The half marathon route leaves the stadium, runs through the leafy outskirts of Welwyn and follows the Cole Green Way, a traffic-free former railway path, including a short loop before returning to the track. The 10k follows mixed surfaces for part of the route and returns to the stadium for a track finish. Event features include a warm-up led by personal trainers, a professional commentator at the finish, licensed UK Athletics status, and chip timing by Event Chip Timing.
Participants receive a custom-designed finisher medal, free professional race photos, and post-race snacks and goodies. The event supports Alzheimer’s Research UK with fundraising options at checkout. Limited paid parking is available at the venue with additional parking in Welwyn town centre. ATW permits transfers to future events up to 48 hours before the event; refunds and transfers to another person are not offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
