Summer Series 2025-26
The Adelaide Trail Runners Summer Series is a five-race trail running series that opens at Black Hill, Athelstone on 23 November 2025. The series includes a new event called "Surf Run" which is the final race in March 2026. The series will mark the club's fifth anniversary at the opening event.
Race dates and locations for 2025-26 are: 23 November 2025 - Black Hill (Athelstone); 14 December 2025 - Bridgewater; 11 January 2026 - Belair National Park; 22 February 2026 - Cleland National Park; 15 March 2026 - Port Elliot (Surf Run).
Race formats, entry and series points
The series offers multiple course distances:
- Long Course: 18-22 km
- Medium Course: 13-15 km
- Short Course: 8-10 km
- 5 km option
Standard per-race entry prices are listed as Long $55, Medium $45, Short $35 and 5 km $25. Late entry fees are higher. A full 5-race Series Entry attracts a 15% discount and series prices are shown per distance.
To qualify for series awards a competitor must start at least four of the five races. Runners score points for finishing in the top five of their age group and the top five overall for that distance. Age group categories will change to 10-year increments (for example 20-29, 30-39). Points for Races 1-4 are 25, 16, 12, 9, 7 for places 1-5. Race 5 awards 50% bonus points: 38, 24, 18, 14, 11. Only the best four scores count. Minimum ages: Long 15 years, Medium 12 years, Short 10 years (unless prior permission). Bib pick-up is on race mornings from 6:30am onwards.
