Foundation 5k to benefit Speed of Light - The ASTRO Foundation
The event is a charity 5k run or walk held in Boston during the ASTRO Annual Meeting on Monday, September 28, 2026. The event raises funds for Speed of Light, the philanthropic arm of the American Society for Radiation Oncology, a registered 501(c)(3) charity. Speed of Light focuses on accelerating innovation in radiation medicine, expanding patient resources, and strengthening the radiation oncology workforce. Together with ASTRO, the foundation has invested more than $12 million in research and supported over $90 million in follow-on funding.
Registration fees vary by date: $40 for early registration, $45 during the middle period, and $50 from August 14 through race day. All participants receive exclusive event SWAG, access to curated routes, and an invitation to the in-person group run. The Foundation 5k is non-competitive and not officially timed.
