JCB Lakeside 5 Mile
The JCB Lakeside 5 is a five mile race held around the JCB World HQ in Rocester. The main race is run over two laps of an undulating course. There is also a two mile fun run on the same roads and surfaced paths.
The route uses road and surfaced paths; some but not all roads will be closed to traffic. The event will be chip timed, with marshals at all junctions. First aid and water stations will be provided along the course, and bottled water will be available at the finish.
Parking and timing tag or number collection take place on the JCB sports ground. On site parking is provided, and there are changing and toilet facilities. The registration desk will be open from 5.30pm and will close at 7pm; participants are asked to arrive early to avoid delays.
All profits from the event, which has been staged since 1983, will be donated to The Queen's Reading Room. The charity works to promote reading and bring books and reading projects into communities to offer support, connection and confidence.
