The Asheville Half Marathon & 10K/5K takes place on August 29, 2026 in Asheville, North Carolina. The race start and finish are at Pack Square (80 Court Plaza, Asheville, NC 28801). The event is capped at 2,500 participants. Registration closes August 28, 2026. Virtual entries are offered with their own registration deadlines.

Course and services
The courses begin and end in Pack Square and run through the Brewery District, Arts District, along the French Broad River to Beaver Lake, past Grove Park Country Club, Weaver Park, and the UNCA campus before returning to downtown. Water stops and portable toilets are provided roughly every 2 miles, and a water bottle is given after the race. Portos are placed in Pack Square Park at the start/finish area.
Timing, awards and rules
Half Marathon and 10K participants will be timed using RM Timing Systems with disposable timing tags issued at packet pick up. Time limits are 3:00 hours for the half and 1:45 hours for the 10K. Awards include top 3 males and females overall in each race and top division winners; awards are local business gift certificates. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable; transfers into the virtual event are allowed until August 10. Dogs and strollers are not allowed.
