Asheville Craft Beer Half Marathon & 10K/5K
The event offers road races and virtual options held in Asheville, North Carolina, with start and finish at Pack Square (80 Court Plaza). The in-person program includes a Half Marathon (13.1 miles), 10K, and 5K, plus corresponding virtual races and a pacer program. The field is capped at 2,500 participants and there is no race day registration.
The course runs through the Brewery District and the River Arts District, follows the French Broad River north to Beaver Lake, passes Grove Park, continues toward Weaver Park and the UNC Asheville campus, and returns downtown via Broadway Street. Water stations and portable restrooms are provided roughly every two miles; a water bottle is provided at the finish. Timing is provided by SVE Timing Services using disposable timing tags issued at packet pick up.
Time limits are set at three hours for the half marathon and 1 hour 45 minutes for the 10K. Dogs and strollers are not permitted. Medical support and an ambulance are available near the finish area. Finish area activities include a festival in Pack Square Park with live music, vendors, pre-packaged food, and refreshments.
Packet pick up is scheduled the day before the race at Asheville Brewing Company. Race shirts are guaranteed for registrants who signed up before August 1 and are ordered by the sizes selected during registration. Registration fees are non-refundable and registrations are non-transferable, with a limited transfer option into the virtual event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
