Asheville Half Marathon & 10K/5K : event overview
The Asheville Half Marathon & 10K/5K takes place in Asheville, NC on August 29, 2026. The race begins and ends in Pack Square and the course passes through the Brewery District, the Arts District, follows the French Broad River to Beaver Lake, and returns via Broadway Street past the UNCA campus.

The event is capped at 2500 participants. There is no race day registration and all registration closes on August 28, 2026. Packet pick up is scheduled the day before at Asheville Brewing Company, 77 Coxe Ave, with a will call option available on race morning.
Timing is provided for the Half Marathon and 10K using disposable timing tags distributed at packet pick up. Pace groups are planned with target finish times including 1:35, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, and 2:45. Time limits are 3:00 hours for the Half Marathon and 1:45 hours for the 10K.
Facilities and services include water and portable toilets along the course roughly every 2 miles, a water bottle provided after the race, live music at the start and finish areas, and an awards program for overall and age group divisions.
