Asheville Craft Beer Half Marathon & 10K/5K
The event takes place on August 29, 2026 in Pack Square, Asheville, NC (80 Court Plaza). It includes in-person races and virtual options with the following distances:
- Half Marathon 13.1 Miles
- 10K
- 5K
The in-person courses begin and end in Pack Square and run through the Brewery District, the River Arts District, along the French Broad River to Beaver Lake, past Grove Park, near Weaver Park and the UNC Asheville campus, and back downtown via Broadway Street. The route includes hills and has time limits: 3:00 hours for the half marathon and 1:45 for the 10K. The event is capped at 2,500 participants and there is no race day registration; registration closes on August 28, 2026.
Packet pick up is scheduled the day before at Asheville Brewing Company. Timing is provided by SVE Timing Services and disposable timing tags are issued at packet pick up. Water and portable toilets are provided roughly every 2 miles; water bottles are provided after the race and participants are advised to bring their own water to the start. Dogs and strollers are not allowed.
Finish area activities include a finish festival in Pack Square Park with entertainment, vendors, prepackaged food, live music, finisher shirts, medals, and limited pint glass and can coozie items for early half marathon registrants.
