Asha Jyothi 18th Annual 5K Run/Walk – Fairfax
Asha Jyothi hosts its 18th annual 5K run and accompanying fun run on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Fairfax Corner near PF Changs (4250 Fairfax Corner Dr, Fairfax). The event is organized by a volunteer based nonprofit that supports underprivileged communities by providing access to education and healthcare. The organization reports that it is 100 percent volunteer run, directs all donations to its causes, and supports over 6,250 children’s education each year.
The event includes family-oriented activities such as music, food, stage performances including Bollywood dances, breakfast, and prize distribution. The 5K course is certified. Packet pickup is available on Friday, September 18 at Navy Elementary School, on Saturday, September 19 at Silver Diner in Fair Lakes, and on race day at Fairfax Corner; participants are advised there is no guarantee of a T-shirt on race day.
