About the race
Art In Motion is a community running event held on October 17, 2027, at Boyd Conservation Park on Islington Avenue in Woodbridge/Vaughan, Ontario. The event offers in-person and virtual options and marks the 11th anniversary of the Art In Motion series.
Distances available:
- 10 km road race, chip timed
- 5 km run/walk, chip timed
- 2 km family run/walk
Participants in the in-person events receive a tech shirt for the 10K and 5K, a hat or similar gift for the 2K, and a finisher medal. The race provides on-course support, finish-line food, free race photos to download, post-race massage, pancake breakfast and refreshments, free parking with shuttle service, and bag check. Virtual participants receive a race bib, finisher medal, and tech shirt (or hat for the 2K); group shipping options are noted for teams of eight or more.
The event raises funds for the SickKids Foundation and the Dr. Bonnie Cameron Post-Secondary Scholarship; the page notes that 100% of event proceeds support these causes. Fundraising programs include a Free For Fundraisers option (raise CA$150 to receive a free race entry) and VIP rewards for higher fundraising levels.
