The Art for Your Heart 5k Run and Walk takes place in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The event supports the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art (SAMA). Participants can choose between a 5K run and a 5K walk.
Event Details
The event starts at the SAMA Altoona location at 1210 11th Avenue. The route is described as scenic. An awards ceremony is held afterwards at Heritage Plaza, at the intersection of 11th Avenue and 14th Street.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as the top three male and female participants in several age groups. The age groups are: 10 and under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50–59, and 60 and up. Award winners must be present at the ceremony.
Participant Information
Race packet pick-up is available in advance at SAMA Altoona on the Thursday and Friday before the event. T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by a specific date in April. The registration fee for each event is $25. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
