About the race
The Art Car IPA 5K Social Run/Walk at the Flying Saucer in downtown Houston takes place on 10/04/2026 and serves as a halfway celebration for the Art Car IPA 5K presented by UHD. The event is based at the Flying Saucer, 705 Main Street, Houston, TX 77002.
For a fee of $35, participants receive a guided and marked roughly 3 mile run or walk, three beers from Saint Arnold Brewing Company, a pint glass, and a breakfast from Texas Tamale Company. The course starts at the Flying Saucer, goes to Saint Arnold and returns to the starting location. Pace support is provided with at least three pace leaders positioned at the front, the middle, and the back of the group. The event description notes that all paces are welcome.
Parking in downtown Houston is free on Sundays. Social run/walks are held rain or shine; if weather prevents running on the day, food and beer will still be provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
