Arrowwood Adventure 5K
The event takes place at Camp Arrowwood, a 100-acre campus in Sevier County near Townsend, Tennessee. The venue includes camp access roads, gravel surfaces and some grass areas.
The running options include:
- ~3 miles two-lap course
- <1 mile option for runners 10 and under
The course remains on camp property and uses mainly gravel access roads with rolling, hilly terrain. Terrain is described as about 90% gravel and less than 10% grass.
Parking is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis in lots at the tennis courts, main office and nearby lots; attendants will direct traffic to available parking. Packet pickup is available on the day of the event only and closes shortly before the race; T-shirts, bibs and giveaways are distributed at the shelter near the start and finish area.
Post-race activities include visits with farm animals, music, outdoor camp games, s'mores around a campfire, a campus store and raffle giveaways. Awards are given to the top male and female in the longer race, and age-group awards are presented to the top two runners in each category: 14 and under, 15-25, 25-44, and 45 plus.
Registration fees listed for the events are $30 for the longer race and $20 for the kids event. Proceeds from the event benefit Camp Arrowwood missions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
