Around the Crown 10K
Around the Crown 10K is a road race in Uptown Charlotte scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026, during Labor Day weekend. The event covers a 10 km distance and follows the full three mile inner loop of Charlotte's I-277, running the entirety of the Queen City’s major inner loop.
The race uses a new course alignment that runs from Tryon to Truist Field. The event lists a primary sponsor relationship with Truist and an expo powered by OrthoCarolina. Sustain Charlotte is named as the race beneficiary. Organizers publish results and awards from prior years and offer race merchandise described as sustainable.
Event programming includes a Kids’ Run alongside the main 10 km, participant options such as Pay What You Can, a First Timer’s Club, and an Elite Athletes category. A 10 week training program is offered, with training beginning on Mon. 6/29.
