Location and Event
The event takes place at Armstrong Valley Winery in Halifax, Pennsylvania. It is a chip-timed 5k run and walk. The charity partner for the event is Nik's Wish.
Course
The course starts and finishes near the parking area. It is described as a cross-country style route that tours the winery's vineyards. The route has some uneven footing and inclines.
Registration and Rules
Registration includes a t-shirt, a shatterproof and collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a race bib, online results, and a pour of wine. Participants aged 1-20 receive a discounted registration that includes the shirt, medal, and bib, but not the wine glass or wine pour. The event is open to ages 1-99.
Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each category. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for these awards.
Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground on the course. Dogs are not permitted at the event.
Additional Details
The event is professionally timed by J3 Timing, with results posted online. Free race photos are available for download. Packet pickup is on race day only, opening one hour before the event starts.
