Arlington Independence Day Parade Firecracker 5K
The Arlington Independence Day Parade Firecracker 5K is the fourth annual 5K held on July 4 along the Arlington Independence Day Parade route. The road course uses a two loop layout that starts and finishes at the Levitt Pavilion. There is no parking at the start/finish line lot.
All participants receive a finisher's medal. Additional awards include prizes for the top three finishers in each of eight age divisions and overall male and female and masters male and female awards. Age groups span from 14 and under through 80 plus.
Packet pickup takes place at The Runner Shop, 3535 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, on the two days before the event and on race day. T shirts are guaranteed for runners who enter before June 28. A virtual 5K option is offered so participants can run anywhere.
The route map is provided by the organizer. Strollers and well behaved dogs on leashes are allowed on the course. The organizer limits how long the route remains open on event day and asks participants to follow course guidelines for safety and event operations.
