Arizona Monster 300 : event overview

The Arizona Monster 300 is a point-to-point ultramarathon in Southern Arizona, based in Patagonia, AZ. The course covers 304.3 miles through the Sonoran Desert and crosses National Forest lands. The route passes backcountry terrain and high-elevation mountain areas and highlights the Sonoran Desert ecosystem, which has subtropical winter warmth and two rainy seasons. Course details, support, and entry

The course lists 41,162 feet of elevation gain and 41,463 feet of elevation loss. Terrain composition is given as 259.1 miles (84%) single-track, 34 miles (10%) bike path, 9.5 miles (3%) paved road, and 6 miles (2%) dirt road. There are 19 aid stations and a 170-hour cutoff (7 days and 2 hours).

Race services include live runner tracking, drop bag transport to many aid stations, bus transport to the start for those who park at the finish, aid and sleep stations, a medical team on site, and a variety of food and drinks along the course. Entrant benefits listed include a duffel bag, race shirt, and finisher awards such as handmade buckles, a custom print, and a finisher mug. Registration is first-come, first-served; registration opens April 5, 2025 at 9:00am, with an early price of $1,995 until April 30 and a later price of $2,295 after May 1. Donations from the event benefit local organizations including the Arizona Trail Association, Patagonia Youth Enrichment Center, and the local food bank.
