Arizona Monster 300

The Arizona Monster 300 is a 300.5 mile point to point ultramarathon across Southern Arizona's Sonoran Desert, running from Patagonia, AZ to Superior, AZ. The route covers high elevation mountains and backcountry terrain and runs largely on National Forest lands.

The course records 41,162 feet of elevation gain and 42,463 feet of elevation loss. Terrain breakdown includes about 259.1 miles of single-track trail, 34 miles of bike path, 9.5 miles of paved road, and 6 miles of dirt road. The race includes 19 aid stations and a 150 hour cutoff time.

The Sonoran Desert along the route experiences subtropical warmth in winter and two seasons of rainfall, creating a contrast between arid and moist conditions and supporting a diverse range of plant and animal life. The route traverses varied desert landscapes and higher elevation mountain areas, with long sections on single-track trails.

A payment plan option is available through the race registration system. The event listing notes that the course map and a runner manual are provided for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
