Area 51 Trail Race : Hernando, MS
The event is a trail race held at the Area 51 mountain bike trails in Hernando, Mississippi. The course is 100% single track running through hills and trees in north Mississippi, with nearly 100 feet of elevation gain per mile. Distances are approximate and may vary from marked mileage.

The shorter course shares the same start and finish location as the longer course but follows a shortcut between the south and north Voyager trails. Organizers plan a water station on the shorter route and an aid station on the 12K route. Packet pickup is available a day or two before the race and also at the start area on race morning.
Parking at the trailhead is limited; organizers advise carpooling and note that dry weather will make parking easier. The event is organized as a not for profit race and proceeds will be returned to the North Mississippi Trail Alliance to support construction and maintenance of the local trail system. Participants should expect typical trail conditions and variable distances, and to encounter natural trail features such as roots, rocks, and hill climbs.
