Area 13.1 Half Marathon : Roswell, GA
Area 13.1 is a night half marathon held in Roswell, Georgia, taking place in 2026 at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. For 2026 the event is limited to the half marathon only with a cap of 1500 half marathon runners due to size constraints. Riverside Park is under construction through July 2027 and the course location will return there in 2027.
The course is described as a two-loop route along the river and boardwalks with a total elevation gain of 240 feet. Organizers note dark sections on the route, so headlamps or running lights are required and highly recommended. Jog strollers and pets are not allowed on the race course.
All finishers receive an alien head medal and a tri blend shirt. Runners aged 21 and over receive a complimentary beer provided by Gate City Brewing Company. The event includes on-site music, food trucks, and vendors.
Virtual race options are offered for the half marathon and for shorter distances in association with the event. The official time limit for the half marathon is 3 hours 45 minutes, equivalent to a 17:00 minute per mile pace. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
