Ardmore RAH! 10K, 5K, and Fun Run
The Ardmore RAH! is an annual community event held in the historic neighborhood of Ardmore in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The acronym RAH! stands for Run Against Hunger, as the event serves as a food drive with net proceeds donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC. This organization provides assistance to food-insecure families and children in the local region.
The event consists of several distance options:
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
The 5K and 10K courses are sanctioned by USA Track & Field. Participants have the option to compete in person at the Redeemer Presbyterian Church or participate through virtual categories. Runners who choose the Second Helping Club can register for both the 5K and 10K races simultaneously to receive a registration discount.
The event is open to runners, walkers, and wheelchair racers. Strollers are permitted on the course, though pets are not allowed. Parking for the event is available at Ardmore Baptist Church and Ardmore United Methodist Church, both located approximately 0.5 miles from the starting location. Packet and t-shirt pickup takes place both on the day prior to the race at a local running store and on the morning of the event at the church.
Registration includes a guaranteed t-shirt for those who register by the late September deadline. Participants in the virtual categories must submit their results online by the specified deadline to be included in the official leaderboard. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
