Arc Irene Trail Run/Walk
Arc Irene Trail Run/Walk is a trail running and walking event held at the Irene Athletics Clubhouse inside the Agricultural Research Centre (ARC) Irene in Centurion, Gauteng.
Distances offered:
- 21 km trail
- 15 km trail
- 10 km trail
- 5 km trail
- 3 km trail (half trail, half road)
- Kids and pensioner categories for 3 km, 5 km, 10 km, 15 km and 21 km
Entry and fees are available via pre-entry online; on-the-day entries incur an additional fee of R30. Kids under 13 and adults over 60 pay a flat R80 with no extra on-the-day charge. No race number collection is required the day before; numbers are issued when participants register on race morning.
Route and venue notes: marked routes with water tables and full-distance trail courses (no loops); a road option uses roads inside the ARC Irene grounds only. Walking and hiking are permitted on the 2 km, 5 km, 10 km and 15 km routes. Amenities at the venue include a clubhouse offering coffee, drinks and snacks. Pets are not permitted.
Included with entry: marked route, water tables, finisher medal, venue entry, parking and Vitality points. Participants may donate their medal to the Make a Difference Campaign; donated funds will support an animal shelter at year end.
General rules: no refunds for weather or venue cancellations, no transfers of online entries, no license required to participate. Cash, card and SnapScan accepted on the day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
