About the race
ARC Irene Trail Run/Walk is a trail running and walking event held at Irene Athletics Club inside the Agricultural Research Centre (ARC) Irene in Centurion, Gauteng. Entrants collect their race number on the morning of the event when registering at the venue.
Available distances and entry fees:
- 21 km Trail : R170
- 15 km Trail : R150
- 10 km Trail : R130
- 5 km Trail : R110
- 3 km Trail : R80
A reduced rate of R80 applies to children under 13 years and adults over 60 years for specific classes. On-the-day entries are available for an additional R30 except for the reduced-rate classes.
Entry includes a marked route, water tables, a finisher medal, venue entry and parking, and Vitality points. Amenities at the clubhouse include coffee, drinks and snacks. The road option uses roads within the ARC Irene grounds only and does not go onto public roads. Trail routes are full distance routes with no loops. Walking or hiking is allowed on selected routes. Water tables are provided on all routes.
The venue gate may be closed on arrival; participants are asked to wait for access. Route maps, elevation profiles and GPX files are available from the organiser for navigation and planning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
