ARC Irene Road Run/Walk : Centurion, Gauteng
The ARC Irene Road Run/Walk is a road running and walking event held at the Irene Athletics Club inside the ARC Irene grounds in Centurion. It is open to non-club members and does not require an athletics license. Participants collect race numbers on the morning of the event at on-site registration.
Distances and entry fees are offered across several classes, with reduced pricing for children under 13 and adults over 60. Available distances include:
- 3 km : standard and Kids/Pensioners class
- 5 km : standard and Kids/Pensioners class
- 10 km : standard and Kids/Pensioners class
- 15 km : standard and Pensioners class only
- 21 km : standard and Pensioners class only
Entry includes a marked route, water tables, a finisher medal, venue entry and parking, and Vitality points. Water tables are provided on all routes. The road option uses roads within the ARC Irene grounds only and does not go onto public roads. Walking or hiking is allowed on the 3 km, 5 km, 10 km and 15 km routes. The venue provides a clubhouse with coffee, drinks and snacks. Pets are not allowed.
The event also offers a Make a Difference campaign option where participants may donate the cost of their medal or add extra donations; funds will be donated at year end to an animal shelter. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
