Blackout Night Runs takes place Friday, June 19, 2026 at Fort Tuthill County Park in Flagstaff, AZ. The event is a night trail run through ponderosa pines on the Soldiers Trail and Highlands Trail loops. Distances offered:

The 27K is run as two full circuits, the 13K as one loop, and the 6K as a modified single loop. The courses include narrow single track and wider forest paths and reach a maximum elevation of 7,137 feet.

Course and logistics

Key course stats include total elevation gain for each distance (27K: 1,293 ft; 13K: 648 ft; 6K: 287 ft) and measured course lengths (27K about 16.8 miles; 13K about 8.56 miles; 6K about 4.12 miles). Aid stations on the longer courses are placed approximately every 4.0 to 4.4 miles and provide water, an electrolyte drink (Gnarly Fuel-2O), sweet and salty snacks, and fruit. Runners are advised to carry at least one bottle of water.

Crews and drop bags are allowed at the start/finish area only; pacers are not permitted. Parking and the finish are located at the North Parking Lot near the Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course. A tent-only group campground is available nearby on a limited, first-come basis; camping passes are offered for Friday and Saturday nights.
