Course and logistics
Courses wind through ponderosa pines above 7,000 ft, topping out on a mesa with single-track and wider forest paths. Aid stations are placed roughly every 4.0 to 4.4 miles and offer water, an electrolyte drink, sweet and salty snacks, and fruit; runners are advised to carry at least one bottle of water. Courses will be marked with orange plastic ribbons and laminated signs; blue and white checkerboard flagging marks non-race trails. Crews and drop bags are allowed at the start/finish area only. Pacers are not permitted. Medical staff are based at the start/finish headquarters. Parking and the finish area are located at the park North Parking Lot near the Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course. Tent-only group camping is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis; camping passes are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
