Kahtoola Uphill Race
The Kahtoola Uphill is an annual mountain race presented by GORE-TEX Products that raises funds for Friends of Camp Colton and supports outdoor education for kids. The 2027 edition marks the event's 20th year and is scheduled for Saturday, February 20, 2027.
The event offers multiple uphill courses with different levels of difficulty, including the Cambium Wealth Strategies Fun Climb, the Midway Climb, and the Lumberyard Brewing Co. Öo’mawki Climb. Teams of any size may be formed to participate. All race proceeds benefit Friends of Camp Colton and help expand student access, develop program innovation, and support long range planning for Camp Colton.
Two raffle programs run in conjunction with the race. The Race Raffle features many prizes valued at $25 and up. The Golden Ticket raffle offers 24 prizes valued at $500 or more; organizers will sell 240 Golden Tickets at $100 each and winners do not need to be present. Volunteer roles are needed before, during, and after the event, and volunteers receive racer swag.
The event also includes a Champ for Camp sponsorship program. Sponsorship levels listed for Champ for Camp include Humphreys at $2,000 and above, Öo’mawki at $1,000 to $1,999, and Fremont at $500 to $999, with 100 percent of sponsorship funds supporting Friends of Camp Colton.
