Event Overview
The Ararat River Run offers a 5K and a 10K race in Mount Airy, North Carolina. The event takes place on the Granite City Greenway, a course that runs by the Ararat River.
Registration and Details
Registration is available online through race morning. There are early and standard registration fee tiers for both distances. A free Fun Run for children 12 and under is also offered, with an option to purchase a shirt.
All finishers receive a medal. Participants registered by a specified date are assured an event t-shirt. Breakfast foods, fruit, and water are available at the finish line.
Awards and Timing
The races feature chip timing. Awards are given for overall top male and female finishers in each distance, as well as for various age divisions. There is also a Corporate Participation Challenge trophy for the company with the most participants. Walkers and strollers are welcome in the 5K.
