Aquathlon - Mission Beach
The event takes place at Mission Beach Aquatic Centre at MARCS Park, with the date to be announced. It combines pool swimming and outdoor running, with run legs routed around the MARCS Park oval and an out and back section from the aquatic centre. The venue offers parking, amenities, and a spectator stand.
Distances offered include:
- Full: 400 m swim / 5 km run. Minimum age 13.
- Junior: 200 m swim / 2 km run. Minimum age 6.
- Enticer: 50 m swim / 500 m run. Minimum age 6.
Awards are presented for first, second and third places. Junior awards are split into under 11 and 11 and over categories. CCMC club members enter free. Non members pay a per person or family fee structure.
Registration is online and opens soon. Participants must register and sign a waiver; parents or guardians must sign for children and remain responsible for them. Participants must bring their own drinking vessel and manage their own hydration and sun protection. Run section clothing rules require covered feet and torsos. Pool rules include no running poolside, no diving, keeping to the left in lanes, tapping to overtake, and that swimmers be able to complete their chosen distance without assistance.
