Ona Mission Multisport Adventure - Mission Beach & Dunk Island
Ona Mission is a multisport event on 6 September 2026 in Mission Beach and Dunk Island, Queensland. The event is organised for individuals and teams and has been held since 2008. The format combines paddle, trail run, paddle, mountain bike and a final run.
The course begins with a paddle to Dunk Island, followed by a trail run through the island rainforest and a return paddle to the mainland. The mountain bike stage travels north along the beach, over Fenbys Gap and onto a World Heritage rainforest trail before looping back to South Mission Beach. The final run goes south along the beach to the Kennedy Walking Track and the finish. Organisers may change the course before race day.

- Long Course total 59 KM
Mandatory equipment and rules include carrying personal water and nutrition for all stages, wearing a race number or bib, and using appropriate craft and safety gear for paddling and biking. Paddlers must wear a Type 1 or Type 2 personal flotation device; inflatable PFDs are not permitted. A dry bag is required for running shoes on the island leg. Mountain bikers must use an Australian standards approved helmet. E-bikes may compete but will be classified as non-competitive for placings.
