BEACHRUNS at Mission Beach
Beachruns takes place on the hard-packed sands of Mission Beach in Tropical North Queensland. The course runs along the greater Mission Beach area and offers island views and palm-lined beaches. The event includes a range of individual distances plus a team relay and a children’s dash.
Distances:
- 21 km half marathon along greater Mission Beach
- 10 km individual race
- 5 km individual race
- 1 km children’s dash for ages 5 to 12
- 12 km team relay, four legs of 3 km (teams of 2 to 4 runners)
Entry is by online registration. Team entries use a captain who pays and receives a code for team members to register. Minimum age limits apply for some distances and there are conditions for younger competitors in team entries.
Podium prizes are awarded for overall 1st to 3rd male and female in each distance, and for winning male, female and mixed relay teams; winning relay teams also receive perpetual trophies. Age group times are recorded but there are no age-group prizes. Food and refreshments are available near the start and finish areas.
