April Fools Quarter Marathon
The April Fools Quarter Marathon is a themed running event held in San Antonio, Texas. This competition is part of the San Antonio 1/4 Marathon Series, a year-long initiative organized by E-Dragon Productions in partnership with local running organizations. The race takes place on a course within the city's park system, specifically located near 2600 Rigsby Avenue.
This event serves as a component of the Spring Marathon Series. Participants who complete the first four races of the annual series, including this April event, earn a seasonal marathon medal. The series is structured into three distinct seasonal blocks - Spring, Summer, and Winter - with each block consisting of four races. When combined, the medals from each season represent a full year of running.
Participants have the following distance options:
- Quarter Marathon (10.5 km)
- Virtual Quarter Marathon (10.5 km)
All runners receive event-specific swag, which includes custom medals and sublimated running shirts. The series is designed to offer varied courses and themes at different parks throughout San Antonio to encourage consistency and community engagement among local runners.
The April Fools event is the concluding race of the Spring seasonal block. Runners can choose to participate in the individual live event in San Antonio or join through a virtual format. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
