Event overview
The PeaceHealth APPLETREE Marathon weekend takes place in Vancouver, Washington on August 29-30, 2026. The event program includes the Marathon, Half Marathon, Sunset 5K, a First Responder Marathon Relay, and virtual versions of the 5K, half and full marathon. In-person entry prices are listed on the event page in the range of $44 to $119; virtual entries are listed from $50 to $60. The festival is capped at 3,000 athletes. The main beneficiary is the Police Activities League (PAL) of Southwest Washington; $1 from each registration is designated for the Friends of Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. The race partners with Fort Vancouver National Historic Site and The Historic Trust.
Course, logistics and race features
The course is described as flat, fast, one loop, and Boston-qualifying. The route passes Fort Vancouver, Officers Row, the Army Barracks, Pearson Airport, the Old Apple Tree, and sections along the Columbia River with views of Mt. Hood. The Start/Finish is on Officers Row in front of the Grant House with post-race activities around Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. Race features include chip timing, a technical runner shirt, finisher medals, water stations and entertainment approximately every mile, porta-potties at water stations, bag check, and a BEAST medal for athletes who race both days. The First Responder Relay allows teams from two up to nine members, offers custom relay shirts, and has a limited number of relay teams.
