PeaceHealth Appletree Marathon
The PeaceHealth Appletree Marathon is a multi-distance running event held in Vancouver, Washington. The event features a course designed to be flat and fast, highlighting numerous historical locations in the area. Participants travel through Fort Vancouver, Officer’s Row, and the Army Barracks. The route also passes by Pearson Airport, the oldest operating airport in the United States, and the Historical Old Apple Tree, which is recognized as the oldest apple tree in the Northwest.
The marathon course is a single-loop route and serves as a Boston-Qualifying race. Much of the path follows the Columbia River, providing scenic views of the water and surrounding landmarks. The event also offers various participation formats, including a sunset run on Saturday and several distance options on Sunday. In addition to the physical races, virtual versions of the marathon, half marathon, and 5K are available.
Available race distances and formats:
- Marathon: A 26.2-mile Boston-Qualifying course consisting of one loop.
- Half Marathon: A 13.1-mile course sharing the scenery and support of the marathon.
- 5K Sunset Run: A 3.1-mile evening race held the day before the longer distances.
- First Responder’s Relay Marathon: A team-based marathon relay for two to nine members.
- Virtual Races: Digital options for the 5K, Half Marathon, and Marathon distances.
