PeaceHealth APPLETREE Marathon Weekend
The PeaceHealth APPLETREE Full and Half Marathon plus Sunset 5K takes place in Vancouver, WA on August 29 and 30, 2026. The two-day event includes a Boston-qualifying full marathon, a half marathon, a Sunset 5K and a First Responder relay division. The race is set around Fort Vancouver and Officers Row with post-race activities on site.
The course is a flat, one-loop route described as spectator-friendly and scenic. It passes historical landmarks including Officer’s Row, the Army barracks, Pearson Airport, the Old Apple Tree, and sections along the Columbia River with views of Mt. Hood. Organizers provide water stations and porta-potties approximately every mile along the marathon and half marathon courses. Chip timing, a technical runner shirt, a finisher medal, bag check, and a post-event meal are listed among race services.
Additional features include a First Responder relay for teams of two to nine members with a limited number of relay teams, a BEAST medal for athletes who run both days, a Saturday evening live band, and complimentary beer from a local brewery. Awards are offered for top overall, masters and age group finishers with standard age categories and separate rules for Clydesdale and Athena divisions. The event lists a maximum field size of 3000 athletes.
