Apple Festival 5K Walk/Run
Apple Festival 5K Walk/Run takes place in Murphysboro, Illinois, on September 5, 2026. The course begins at 11th and Walnut Street and finishes at Chestnut and 11th Street. The event offers both running and walking options and uses a measured 3.1 mile course.

Pre registration and race day registration have different fees. Pre registration is $22 and registrations on or before August 21 are guaranteed a T shirt. Race day registration is $25 and does not guarantee a T shirt for same day registrants or for registrations after August 21. Registration is open from June 15, 2026 through September 3, 2026.
Pre registration race packets and day of registration will be available at the corner of 11th and Chestnut on race day. Awards are presented once results are tabulated at the finish line. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers and to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each age group. Event assistants will be located around the course.
