Fly with the Eagles Half Marathon
The Fly with the Eagles Half Marathon is the 21st running of a half marathon held at Southern Illinois Airport in Murphysboro, Illinois. The in-person half marathon covers 13.1 miles and takes place on February 13, 2027. A virtual half marathon option allows participants to run 13.1 miles between February 14 and February 21, 2027 and submit their time; instructions to submit times will be emailed to virtual entrants.
Registration opens on September 4, 2026. Early registrants who register by January 28, 2027 are guaranteed the official hooded sweatshirt. There is also a hoodie-only registration that requires pickup at packet pickup; hoodies must be claimed by the end of race day and unclaimed items will not be held. Stated registration fees are $50.00 for the in-person and virtual half marathon entries and $25.00 for the hoodie-only option.
The event provides a custom finisher medal and an official hooded sweatshirt for qualifying registrants. Overall and age group awards are offered. The race is conducted as a cupless event; volunteers provide water pitchers at aid stations and participants are asked to bring refillable bottles. The venue address is Airport Hangar 665 N.
