Butterfly Run Okanagan 2026
Butterfly Run Okanagan 2026 takes place on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Kelowna City Park, 1600 Abbott Street. This is the 4th annual event focused on supporting people affected by infertility, pregnancy loss, termination for medical reasons in pregnancy, and infant loss. Proceeds support local initiatives and free bereavement programs run by Butterfly Support Network.
The event offers separate options for running and walking:
- 5 km run
- 3 km walk
Each paid registration includes a race kit and an adult t-shirt, with an option to decline the kit. Adult t-shirts have a size guarantee deadline and children sized shirts are available for purchase at registration. Children under age 12 are free but must be registered; children’s shirts are optional and sold during registration.
Pre-event race kit pick-up locations are scheduled in Kelowna at the Dolphins Statue (1200 Water Street) and in Vernon at Lakeview Park (3001 18th Street). Race day kit pick-up is available at the registration table in Kelowna City Park.
Event-day activities include live entertainment, food trucks and light refreshments, a kid zone, local vendors, and community resource booths. Paid parking is available in the City Park lot and free parking is available at nearby parkades. Race registrations are non-refundable and organizers note that if the event moves to a fully virtual format, race kits and shirts will still be provided.
