The Dirty Feet Trestle Run offers three distances on the historic Kettle Valley Railway trail in Myra Provincial Park. This gravel double-track course features trestle bridges, tunnels, and views of Kelowna and Okanagan Lake. The event is a fundraiser for the Friends of the South Slopes.

Course and Location

The run takes place on the Kettle Valley Railway (KVR) trail in Myra Provincial Park. The course is a wide, double-track gravel pathway that goes through tunnels and across historic trestle bridges. The start and finish are at the Myra Provincial Park Trestles Parking Lot. The trail offers views of the trestles, tunnels, the city of Kelowna, and Okanagan Lake.

Distances and Format

Participants can choose between three distances:

  • 5 km (elevation change: 8 m)
  • 10 km (elevation change: 21 m)
  • 21 km (elevation change: 43 m)

The format is an out-and-back course. The route is marked with kilometer signs and turnaround arrows.

Event Logistics

Online registration is open until September 19, 2026. Base entry fees range from $55 to $85 depending on the distance, with a price increase scheduled after September 13. The event is a fundraiser for the Friends of the South Slopes (FOSS), the management group for Myra Canyon. A portion of the entry fee is donated to FOSS.

Race package pick-up is available at Play Store Kelowna the day before the event, or on-site on race day. Aid stations are provided: one at the finish for the 5 km, one at the 5 km point for the 10 km, and three at the 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km points for the 21 km. They are stocked with water and electrolytes.

Optional participant medals are available for purchase. Dirty Feet merchandise (shirts, hoodies, hats) is also for sale at the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
