Anne's Place 5k
The Anne's Place 5k is a scenic road race held on a paved route through Rock Creek Park. The 5k course is out and back, mostly flat with one considerable hill. Walkers and strollers are welcome. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend in person.
Points from this event count toward the Year Long 5k series, the Back of the Pack series, and the Spring Series. The Back of the Pack series is aimed at runners who record slower average paces and awards series points to participants.
Participants receive a finisher's medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. T shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before March 24; additional shirts may be available afterward on a first come first served basis. Registration fees list the 5k at $30 until March 15 and $35 thereafter, with prices increasing on race morning.
The event provides two water stations on the 5k course at approximately mile 0.6 and mile 2.5, with Gatorade available at some stations. Restrooms are located across from the Tennis Center. Packet pickup is available at the event and there will be no on site race registration.
Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place male and female finishers in standard age group divisions. Final results with series points are posted after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
