Angry Owl Ultramarathons - Salem, Oregon (August 8-9, 2026)
Angry Owl Ultramarathons is the 10th annual timed running event held in Bush's Pasture Park, Salem, Oregon. The event is organized at the southeast end of the park near the Phillips Softball Field; the parking address is 1050 Leffelle St SE, Salem, OR 97302.
The event offers these timed formats:
- 24 hour event
- 12 hour event
- 6 hour event
The course is a loop of approximately 1.00625 miles (33 feet longer than a mile). Surfaces include hard packed dirt, well-maintained non-technical trail, grass, packed gravel, and a short section of asphalt. Timed runners repeat the loop for the duration of their chosen event.
Timing is chipped by Race Northwest. Runners select which start group they wish to join in the week before the event.
A single aid station near the start/finish will provide water, electrolyte drink, fruit, salty snacks, sweet snacks, and other items. Runners may leave personal food near the finish area and should bring their own bottle or cup. The start/finish area is adjacent to a small parking lot so vehicles remain accessible during the event. Participants may set up chairs and coolers near the start/finish as long as they do not impede others. Camping on the Friday night before the race is not permitted.
Each participant receives a cap. No medals will be available. Awards will include items from local Salem businesses. Registration closes Friday, August 7 at 11:59 PM PT. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
