Angry Owl Ultramarathons : Salem, Oregon
The 10th Angry Owl Ultramarathons take place August 8–9, 2026 at Bush's Pasture Park in Salem, Oregon. The event offers three timed formats:
- 24-hour timed event
- 12-hour timed event
- 6-hour timed event
Runners complete repeated loops on a roughly one-mile circuit (1.00625 miles). The loop surface includes hard packed dirt, maintained non-technical trail, grass, packed gravel, and some asphalt. Timing is chip-based and provided by Race Northwest.
A single aid station near the start and finish area is stocked with water, electrolyte drink, fruits, salty snacks, sweet snacks, and other basic supplies. Participants may leave personal food near the finish and are asked to bring their own bottles or cups. The start/finish area is adjacent to a small parking lot so vehicles remain accessible during the event. Participants may set up chairs and coolers near the start/finish as long as they do not impede runners or park users. Camping in the park the night before the event is not permitted.
Spectators and crew are welcome; family and friends may run a lap or two with participants but should not plan to run for the full duration. Each participant receives a cap from the organizers. No medals will be available. Awards for top finishers may include items sourced from Salem businesses. Runners choose their preferred start group during the week before the event.
