Angie Gioiosa Memorial 4th of July Race
This event takes place in downtown Altoona, Pennsylvania, with course elements starting near the Mishler Theatre and finishing at Heritage Plaza. The program includes certified road runs, a community walk, and a children’s fun run.

- Lollipop fun run for children 6 and under
Online registration opens January 31, 2026 and closes June 16, 2026; the listed registration fee is $26. The first 1,000 participants are guaranteed a t-shirt. A bib replacement fee of $5 applies. Day of race registration and packet pickup are available at a pre-registration table on 12th Avenue in downtown Altoona; race packets are also available the day before at the Blair Regional YMCA.
Course notes indicate the 15K and 5K routes wind through the city and finish within sight of local railways. The 2 mile walk includes a variety of grades. A children’s fun run follows the main races and includes goodie bags for participants.
Awards are presented immediately after the races. Awards include top three overall male and female for the 15K and 5K, overall male and female for the walk, and top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups.
