Angie Gioiosa Memorial Race, Mishler Theatre, Downtown Altoona, PA
The Angie Gioiosa Memorial Race takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, with start and finish in downtown Altoona at the Mishler Theatre and Heritage Plaza. The event offers multiple course options and uses wave starts to separate participants.

The 15K course is described as challenging and typically hot on race day. Water stations are placed at approximately miles 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 8, and 8.5; all miles are marked on the road surface. All 15K runners must maintain an average pace of 13:00 minutes per mile or they may be asked to ride a sag wagon so roads can be reopened on schedule.
Race logistics include colored bibs to indicate race and wave, a required front race number, and a $5 fee for replacement bibs. Race shirts are guaranteed only with early registration. Porta johns will be available near the start and registration area. Pets and headsets are not allowed and registration fees are nonrefundable.
Packet pickup will be available on the stage of the Historic Mishler Theatre on July 3 and at a race day location near Center City Church. Awards are presented immediately after the race for top overall and age group finishers; awards are not mailed.
Parking is available along 12th Avenue and in the 11th Street Parking Garage; the Mishler Theatre parking lot will not be available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
