Drew's Angel Creek 50 is a point to point trail event near Fairbanks, Alaska on August 1, 2026. The event offers two distances:
- 50 Mile point to point (Twin Bears Camp to Chena Hot Springs Resort)
- 50K point to point (Angel Rocks Trailhead to Chena Hot Springs Resort)
Both courses join and finish at Chena Hot Springs Resort. The terrain is roughly a 50/50 mix of hard packed trail with good footing and more technical ridge line sections. The route is road accessible only at the start locations, the Angel Rocks Trailhead, and the finish at Chena Hot Springs Resort.
Elevation figures are provided for each distance: the 50 mile course reports about 12,600 ft of gain and 12,000 ft of loss, while the 50K reports about 6,400 ft of gain and 6,200 ft of loss. The finish location at Chena Hot Springs Resort is at approximately 1,300 ft elevation.
Logistical notes include a shuttle service from Chena Hot Springs Resort to the starts. Drop bag handling differs by distance: drop bags for the 50 mile race are available at checkpoints near miles 30 and 42 and at the finish; 50K drop bags may be left at the 50K start, which also serves as a 37K/23 mile checkpoint. Registration closes July 30. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
