Drew's Angel Creek 50
Drew's Angel Creek 50 is a point to point trail event near Fairbanks, Alaska on August 1, 2026. It offers two race distances that start at different trailheads and finish at Chena Hot Springs Resort.
The courses run mostly along ridge lines and combine roughly equal portions of hard packed trail with technical sections that require careful footing. Road access is available only at the starts, the Angel Rocks Trailhead, and the finish at Chena Hot Springs Resort. The 50 Miler begins at Twin Bears Camp (Mile 30 Chena Hot Springs Rd) and finishes at Chena Hot Springs Resort (Mile 56.5 Chena Hot Springs Rd). The 50K begins at the Angel Rocks Trailhead parking lot, joins the 50 mile course, and finishes at Chena Hot Springs Resort.
Logistics include limited drop bag support and shuttle transport from the finish to the start areas. Drop bags for the 50 Miler are available at checkpoints at miles 30, 42, and at the finish. Drop bags for the 50K may be left at its start line, which also serves as the 37K / 23 mile checkpoint. A post race BBQ is scheduled at Chena Hot Springs Resort. Elevation changes are substantial: the 50 Miler has about 12,600 ft gain and 12,000 ft loss; the 50K has about 6,400 ft gain and 6,200 ft loss. The finish elevation is 1,300 ft.
