The Half Marathon is a mixed-terrain route about 84% paved, climbing approximately 229 m (751 ft), and passes countryside views including three Iron Age hill forts. The 12km route is mostly paved with about 10% firm dirt and roughly 100 m elevation gain. The course is way-marked with marshals and checkpoints. Accurate chip timing is used and results are hosted by Timing Monkey. Cut-offs are 3:30 (hours:minutes) for the Half and 2:30 for the 12km.
On-course support includes aid stations on the Half at 4.7 mi and 9 mi (additional station on hot days), a first aid/medical tent at the race village, and support vehicles. Parking in town is free on Sundays; suggested car parks include George Yard, Chantry Centre, Black Swan Yard and Town Mills.
Prizes include £100 for first Male and first Female overall, overall podium places (1st–3rd M/F), age-category prizes, and a finisher’s medal for every runner; there are no placing or prizes for the 12km. Volunteers staff registration, marshals, aid stations and finish-area duties. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
