Events and Fees

The event offers two distance options:

2 Mile Run/Walk for a $25 registration fee.
5 Mile Run/Walk for a $30 registration fee.

Location and Date

The run/walk takes place at Thomas F. Daley Memorial Park in LaPlace, Louisiana on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

Event Features and Charity

All participants receive one ticket for admission into the associated festival. After the event, participants can enjoy a hot bowl of jambalaya or red beans, a soft drink, cold beer, fruit, and live music. As the event is held in October during "spooky season," wearing costumes is encouraged.

The proceeds from the race are directed to Keep St. John Beautiful, a volunteer committee focused on improving the beautification of St. John the Baptist Parish.

Packet Pickup

Participants can pick up their packet, which includes a chipped bib and T-shirt, at early pickup or on race day.

Early pickup is available from Monday, October 13, through Thursday, October 16, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Parish Complex (1811 W. Airline Hwy, LaPlace).
Race-day packet pickup begins at 7:00 AM on the festival grounds.

Awards and Recognition

For the 2 Mile event, awards are given to the Top 10 male and Top 10 female finishers. For the 5 Mile event, awards include Overall Male and Female Finisher, plus Top 3 male and female finishers in multiple age categories. The first 200 finishers receive a commemorative finisher medal.
