Event overview
The 12th annual Ancient Trail Trek takes place on Feb 21, 2026, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. The race is held at the Keystone Ancient Forest, 160 Ancient Forest Drive. The preserve covers 1,360 acres and includes old growth post oaks and cedars and notable rock formations near Keystone Lake. The start and finish are at the forest trailhead visitors center.

Entry fees listed are $40 for the 5K and 10K, and $50 for the 15K; shirt and no-shirt options are available.
Course, timing and awards
Courses run through cedar and post oak forest and over rock formations. Aid stations are located along the courses and post-race food is provided. Each finisher receives a custom finisher medal. Overall and 10-year age-group awards are given, and top male and female prizes are listed by race: 15K - $150, 10K - $100, 5K - $50. There is no time limit and all ages may participate. The 15K course has a slight change: after the lollipop loop it follows the same finish route as the 10K and 5K.
Packet pickup is available Feb 20 at RunnersWorld Tulsa, 3920 South Peoria, Tulsa (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM), and on race day at the Keystone Ancient Forest visitors center (7:30 - 8:45).
